General Information About Prices:
Prices are generally quoted A la carte .... you pay for what you do. For small groups, a deposit equal to 50% of the room cost is required with room reservations. The balance for accommodations, activities, and sales tax is collected at check-out. All charges (except food items from the gift shop) are subject to the Iowa 7% Sales Tax. Personal checks are preferred, and Visa, Mastercard, Diner's Club and American Express credit cards are accepted (not Discover). This web site does NOT have a secure server. Please call, fax or write us when submitting a credit card deposit. Gift certificates are available. Prices are effective January 2007, subject to change without notice.Deposit Policy:
A Deposit equal to 50% of the room cost is required to confirm an overnight reservation. The deposit is fully refundable until 3 weeks before the stay. Thereafter, the deposit is refundable only if the room can otherwise be booked, or unless Management (in its sole discretion) feels it "fair" to refund the deposit (for example, in very bad weather). All "no shows" who do not provide timely notice will definitely forfeit the deposit.Group Tours are expected to pay the estimated total bill 5 days in advance of the visit. However, minor adjustments in numbers can be accommodated until 2 days before the visit. Family Reunions and Corporate Retreats which book more than 5 bedrooms, and River House Functions are subject to a 6 week notice for a return of deposit, rather than a three week notice. A non-refundable payment 5 days in advance for some estimated charges for parties, weddings, corporate treats, etc. may be requested.
