Bringing Your Own Horse? The Resort offers open
steel pens for guest horses, at 4 different locations. Our Horse Campground is ideal
for horse campers with rigs. Best of all, the private 4500 acre Whiterock Valley
provides among the most gorgeous and extensive trail networks in Iowa.

Canoeing, Mountain Biking
and Gatoring and Telescope Rental are
great ways to explore Whiterock Valley! (Gators
are John Deere Utility Vehicles which are akin to a high-powered, easy-to-operate golf
cart.)
Hay
rack rides are another
great way to explore the valley. These rides are suitable for larger groups, and
people of ALL ages. This activity can be combined with a guided
prairie/savannah tour.
Recreation in Coon Rapids includes golfing, bowling, tennis, an asphalt trail system and one of the very best swimming
facilities in western Iowa.
Coon Rapids Churches,
Shops and the Library are nice places to
visit. You are invited to attend the ball games
and church suppers to enjoy Midwestern hospitality.
Party Facilities center at the River House. A fun Party Room with kitchen and
handicap accessible bathrooms, a Dance Barn, and a truly beautiful yard make this one of
the longest-running and most popular party places in west-central Iowa.
Area Tourist Attractions and
Country Drives can make nice day trips
from Garst Farm Resorts. The Danish Windmill, Antique Stores and German Haus Barn
are popular area attractions.

Hunting at the Resort is limited to
Whitetail
Bow Hunts and Corporate
Pheasant Hunts. However, the Resort does offer
ideal accommodations for people hunting in this area, on public ground or other private land.
Dining choices at the Resort include breakfast, picnic campfires or sack
lunches, and
lunches and dinners for groups of eight or more. Other
choices include make-your-own, dining in Coon Rapids and dining in the area.
